Links and text
Anything you type is stored directly in the code, so it works without our site. These codes do not expire and are not tracked.
Wi-Fi codes
Phones can scan a Wi-Fi code to join the network without typing the password. Keep in mind that anyone who sees the code can read the password from it.
Error correction
Higher levels let a code still scan when part of it is damaged or covered, but make the code denser. Use High if you will print it or place a logo over it.
PNG or SVG
PNG is right for screens and documents. SVG is a vector file that stays sharp at any size, which suits posters and print.
Questions
Does the QR code expire?
No. The data is inside the code itself, so it keeps working as long as the destination exists.
Is anything tracked or saved?
No. The code is generated in your browser and we do not store what you enter.
Why will my code not scan?
Check the contrast between the code colour and the background, keep the code large enough, and keep the quiet border around it. Test it with a phone before printing.
Is there a limit on length?
Yes. Very long text will not fit. You will see a message if that happens; shorten the text or lower the error correction.
