Text copied from AI chatbots can carry things you cannot see: zero-width characters, non-breaking spaces and stray Markdown symbols. This tool finds them, tells you how many there are, and gives you a clean version.

This tool only changes symbols and spacing. It does not rewrite your words and does not make text undetectable by AI checkers.
How it works

Invisible characters
Zero-width spaces, soft hyphens and similar marks do not show on screen but can break searches, form fields and code. Unusual spaces such as non-breaking spaces are turned into normal spaces. Joiners that real languages need, such as those in Bangla, Hindi and Persian words and in emoji, are kept.
Markdown symbols
Headings (#), bold and italic (** and *), inline code, block quotes and divider lines are removed while the words stay. Links become the link text followed by the address in brackets. Code blocks keep their contents.
Long dashes
You can leave long dashes (the em dash) alone or replace them with a comma or a hyphen. Check the result, because a dash sometimes carries meaning a comma does not.
What this does not do
It only changes symbols and spacing. It does not rewrite your words and it does not make text undetectable by AI checkers. If you need real formatting for Word or Google Docs, use the AI text to Word tool instead.

Do AI chatbots really add hidden characters?
Sometimes. Invisible characters can also come from websites, PDFs and word processors. This tool counts them so you can see for yourself.
Is my text saved or sent anywhere?
No. The cleaning happens on your device and nothing is stored.
Will emoji and quotes be changed?
Only if you switch those options on. Both are off by default.
What is the difference from the AI text to Word tool?
This one removes symbols and gives plain text. The other turns the Markdown into real formatting for Word and Google Docs.
